2012 WVFD Banquet

Saturday, January 14, 2012  The 2012 Banquet got started by out going President Mickey Hawkins welcoming everyone to the event. Ricky Wilkins did an opening song for us and Danny Riley did the Invocation before being served a wonderful dinner prepared by Barbara Saunders and Dallas Hayden. After dinner a video prepared by David Morgans looked back at 2011, it also looked into the 40 years of the WVFD Auxiliary who was celebrating their 40th year tonight and it looked back into the life of our last charter member W.Buren Pitts who passed away in 2011. Then the WVFD Auxiliary celebrated 40 years of service by honoring three members with 40 years service. After Guest Speakers Congressman Rob Wittman, 1st Sergeant VSP Jim Ashworth, and Asst. Chief Daniel Null from Quantico Fire & EMS spoke, the Awards Presentation and the swearing in of the 2012 Officers took place. We then had another song by Ricky Wilkins and the Benediction by Danny Riley.

2011 was a great year for us and we look forward to 2012
